| Diaz Fashions Shutout Against Commies | All went well for Rodolfo Diaz of the Brooklyn Cyclones as he pitched his team to a 7-0 shutout victory over the Caribbean Commies, limiting them to 4 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Diaz on the day.
"Rodolfo's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Cyclones manager Jon Crowe. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."
