| Commies Get Past Aberdeen for 3-2 Win | The Caribbean Commies did just enough to sneak past the Aberdeen Phesants, 3-2, at Pittodrie Stadium. Caribbean pitcher Gabriel Coronel earned player of the game honors. Patrick Davis recorded the save for Caribbean, his 1st of the season. Caribbean has run its win streak to 5 in a row.
The Commies got a big at-bat from first baseman Antonio Saladrigas. For the game, Saladrigas went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Caribbean a 3-1 lead.
"Enjoyed this one," Coronel told the Caribbean Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
