| Commies Continue Skid Thanks to Mora, Fighting Iguanas | Fans who came to Scripps Field watched the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas and the Caribbean Commies fight to the finish.
Jesus Mora knocked in all 3 runs for the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, helping them beat the Caribbean Commies, 3-2. Tony Preciado closed the game out for Boca Raton, earning his 1st save.
Mora contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Boca Raton in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Mora took a fastball from Ramon Pozo and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Fighting Iguanas to leap in front, 2-1.
"It feels good to get this one," Mora told the Boca Raton Observer.
Boca Raton leads the RCLR John Mayberry Division by 2 games.
