| Scorpions Get Close Win Over Suenos | With left fielder Billy Goode leading the charge, the Scottsdale Scorpions defeated the Santa Barbara Suenos, 5-4, at Dream Park. Goode, who is tied for 9th in the RR in doubles with 7, was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Steve Lozano closed the door for Scottsdale, picking up his 4th save of the year. Even with the win, the Scorpions have a dismal 7-20 record.
Alex Carrillo's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a changeup from Eddie Ramos for a run-scoring single. It put Scottsdale in front, 5-4.
