Late Rally by Cyclones Secures Win

The Brooklyn Cyclones topped the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, 5-3, in RCLR action at Vin Scully Park. The player of the game was Brooklyn pitcher Danny Pizarro. The save was credited to Ismael Lara, his 1st. The Cyclones bumped their record to 13-11 with this latest triumph.

Had Victor Castaneda not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Castaneda hit a 2-run double. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Cyclones.

Pizarro expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
