| Dominant Performance by Ritzer in Aberdeen Win | The Aberdeen Phesants eked out a 3-2 win versus the Long Beach KO at Pittodrie Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Jesse Ritzer, who captured player of the game honors. The save went to Moises Casillas, his 8th this season. The Phesants, now 10-15, know that wins in July count the same as wins in September.
Ritzer was in midseason form against the KO. He allowed no earned runs on 6 hits and fanned 10 in his 8-inning effort.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Ritzer said after the game.
