Late Rally by Phesants Secures Win

Antonio Aguilar left his imprint on the 6-5 Aberdeen win against the Long Beach KO. Aguilar, who is tied for 4th in the RR with a 1.033 OPS, was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. The winner was Felix Mercado in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Aaron Coltrin took the loss. The save was credited to Salvador Rosa, his 1st.

Had Edgar Ortega not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Ortega hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Phesants.
