Diamonds Losing Streak at 7 After Extra-Inning Loss to Commies

The Caribbean Commies defeated the Tunica Diamonds, 2-1, in RCLR action at Castro Field, with Caribbean pitcher Victor Castro named player of the game. Caribbean reliever Jim Alt picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Alexis Anguiano took the loss. Tunica's current losing streak is now 7 games.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Caribbean shortstop Ivan Velazquez, facing Alexis Anguiano, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Commies the 2-1 win.

"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Velazquez.
