| Victory Pushes Rangers Record to 18-2 | The first-place Rockville Rangers welcomed Brooklyn to Brewbaker Memorial Stadium.
The Rockville Rangers picked up a win at Brewbaker Memorial Stadium, knocking off the Brooklyn Cyclones, 6-3. Starting pitcher John Rudge, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Rudge got the win, improving to 4-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Rudge allowed 3 earned runs. Alex Serrano recorded the save for Rockville, his 7th of the season.
The Rangers got a big at-bat from first baseman Carlos Mundo. For the game, Mundo went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Rockville a 4-3 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Mundo. "And not try to do too much."
Rockville has an impressive 18-2 record.
