Suenos Need Extras to Top Strong Style

The Suenos had to overcome a good performance from Kyoto pitcher Manny Galan to claim a 6-5 win at Sacred Kinkaku-ji Grounds. Galan went 8 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Santa Barbara reliever Eric Moretti picked up the win, upping his record to 1-3. Steven Grabowski took the loss. Eddie Ramos saved it for Santa Barbara.

The Suenos got a big at-bat from designated hitter Victor Ruiz. For the game, Ruiz went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Santa Barbara a 6-3 lead.
