| Bomberos Lose, 5-2, at Knockout Stadium by Brooklyn Decker | Long Beach pitcher Takeya Endo did his part in helping his team beat the El Paso Bomberos, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Oscar Alaniz recorded the save for Long Beach, his 1st of the season. Long Beach, now 9-11, holds third place in the RCLR Tony Fernandez Division.
David Barnes was 1-3 for Long Beach. The 19-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off James Sirico. It was his 7th RBI of the season.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Barnes. "And not try to do too much."
