de la Cruz Helps Boca Raton Cruise to 12-1 Win

The Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas defeated the Long Beach KO, 12-1, at Knockout Stadium by Brooklyn Decker today. Leading the charge for Boca Raton was center fielder Raul de la Cruz. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 6. Mauricio Ramirez picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-1. He struck out 7 in 8 innings. The Fighting Iguanas bumped their record to 12-5 with this latest triumph.

de la Cruz had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the first inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Fighting Iguanas went on to win.
