| Losing Streak Continues for Bomberos with 9-6 Loss to Fighting Iguanas | Melvin Santos helped his team muscle past the El Paso Bomberos, 9-6. In the game, the Boca Raton center fielder was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The save was Jeff Hymel's, his 8th. El Paso is in the throes of a 10-game skid.
The Fighting Iguanas got a big at-bat from first baseman Ricardo Basilio. For the game, Basilio went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 2nd double of the season gave Boca Raton a 4-3 lead.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Basilio told the Boca Raton Observer.
