| Toreros Need Extra Frames to Get Past Bombers | The South Carolina Bombers got a superb performance from first baseman José Alomar, but the Cabo San Lucas Toreros still won the game, 8-6. Alomar was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Cabo San Lucas reliever Mike Foust was credited with the win, to go to 6-1. Sandy Ponce took the loss for South Carolina. Cabo San Lucas improves to 53-38 with the win. They lead their division by 5˝ games.
Late-game drama came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Mike Pope, hit a single. It helped Cabo San Lucas seize the win.
"It was terrific getting this win," Pope said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
