Sweeney Slams 5 Hits for Barbados

Barbados center fielder Phil Sweeney had a day to remember today, 5-for-6 against the Caribbean Commies at Castro Field as the Revenge picked up a 13-1 victory.

"He was patient up there today," Barbados skipper Javier Cox told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Sweeney has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."

Phil Sweeney singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.

This year Sweeney is batting .375 with 12 hits, no home runs, 4 RBIs, no walks, .412 OBP and has scored 3 runs.
