| Rangers Nip Bomberos, 3-2 | Rockville left-hander John Rudge made an effective start against the El Paso Bomberos at Brewbaker Memorial Stadium, leading his team to a 3-2 win. Alex Serrano was credited with the save for Rockville, his 2nd of the season. With their winning streak at 10, the Rangers have raced to a strong start this season.
Had Alex Salas not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Salas hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Rangers.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Rudge told the Rockville Daily News.
