| Lucero, Brooklyn Prevail in Pitchers' Duel | The Brooklyn Cyclones did just enough to secure a 2-1 victory over the Barbados Revenge at The Drunken Wench Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Tony Lucero, who captured player of the game honors. With the win, Brooklyn pushes its record to 4-3.
The Cyclones liked what they saw from Lucero. The 22-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Revenge to 1 earned run on 4 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 8.
"Both teams played hard," said Brooklyn manager Jon Crowe.
