| Marauders Hammered by Lopez, Drop Game 3 to Tornadoes | Riding the 3-hit performance of second baseman Cesar Lopez, the Kansas City Tornadoes got a road win against the Maple Marauders, 11-3, in Game 3 of the League Pennant today. Lopez slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Tornadoes, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.
Lopez had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the third inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Tornadoes went on to win.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Lopez.
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Legends Park in Toronto. The scheduled starters for the game are Fidel Castro for the Kansas City Tornadoes and Eddie Taveras for the the Maple Marauders.
