| Midland Advances to Divisional Championship | The Midland Rockhounds "proved we can handle pressure" by beating the Divisional Round and eliminating the Georgia Grays, according to series MVP Ron Jeremy.
"This is the big stage, we're off to the Divisional Championship and looking towards the ABL World Series," he said. "There's a lot of pressure at this time of year and it's only going to get more intense from here. But I think we can handle it just fine."
Midland won the final game 4-2, to wrap up the series 4-1.
Jeremy led his team to the series win by putting up a .316 average, with a .316 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Midland Rockhounds will play against the Kansas City Tornadoes in the next round. Kansas City had a bye in the Divisional Round. The Divisional Championship schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes. |
