| Home Loss Shrinks Rockhounds' Series Lead to 3-1 | The 2038 Divisional Round have been an ordeal for the Georgia Grays, but they had some fun today.
Georgia squashed the Midland Rockhounds by the a score of 10-2 in Game 4 at Field of Dreams and managed to avoid a series sweep. Grays third baseman Kaihei Green, 26, was named player of the game after he was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 4 runs in the contest. The Georgia win means the club now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.
Tied up with the Rockhounds in the top of the fourth inning, the Grays got a boost from second baseman Mario Tovar. With the bases loaded, Tovar saw a 2-1 fastball from Ruben Fernandez and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Georgia on top, 4-2.
Midland manager Anastasio Ojeda said his team was "out of sync."
Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow at Field of Dreams. Slated to start are Don Myers for the Georgia Grays and Tony López for the the Midland Rockhounds.
