| Pivotal Game 5 Goes to Host Marauders, 6-5 | Cabo San Lucas center fielder Mike Rizzo pounded Maple Marauders pitchers at Legends Park, but it was not enough to keep the Toreros from falling, 6-5 in Game 5 of the Divisional Round. Rizzo went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once and was named player of the game for his efforts, even as he saw the Toreros slip to a 3-2 deficit in the best-of-7 series.
Had Rickey Moses not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Moses hit a 3-run home run. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Marauders.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Moses said.
Game 6 is set to be played Saturday, October 23rd, 2038 in Cabo San Lucas. The scheduled starters for the game are Rodrigo Garza for the Maple Marauders and Steve Vincent for the the Cabo San Lucas Toreros.
