| Toreros Hammered by Anson, Drop Game 2 to Marauders | The Maple Marauders relied on the hitting of left fielder Bryan Anson to get by the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 8-6, in Game 2 of the Divisional Round today. For the game, Anson hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The clubs are now tied, 1-1.
Jesse Sutton's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a cutter from Cullen Wetmore for a 2-run single. It put Maple in front, 8-6.
"We got the victory," said Anson. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
