| Goldberg Handcuffs Marauders, Toreros Seize 1-0 Advantage in R1 | The Cabo San Lucas Toreros took the first game of the Divisional Round in dramatic fashion today, topping the Maple Marauders 4-3 in an extra-inning walk-off win. Toreros right-hander Ryan Goldberg was selected player of the game, as he threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball.
Cabo San Lucas won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With one out and Ruben Luna on the mound for Maple, catcher Dae-ki Yi hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Toreros fans to their feet.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Yi.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Field de Los Layendas in Cabo San Lucas. The scheduled starters for the game are Rodrigo Garza for Maple and Steve Vincent for Cabo San Lucas.
