| Monarchs Rally Past Red Bulls for 4-2 Series Lead | When the games really matter, the Marysville Monarchs put on their best show, beating the Riverside Red Bulls by a final score of 3-2 today. Mike Tallman earned player of the game honors, as he threw 8 innings of shutout ball. Marysville now leads Riverside 4-2 in the best-of-7 affair.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Marysville trailing 2-0, Daniel Harris hit a sinker from Eddie Cory to right for a 3-run home run. Just like that, the Monarchs had a walk-off win.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Harris said in his postgame press conference.
