| Bessinger, Red Bulls Wallop Monarchs in Game 2 of R1 | Riverside center fielder Reagan Bessinger produced all the offense the Red Bulls would need today in the club's 7-2 win over the Marysville Monarchs.
Bessinger went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once and was named player of the game, while Riverside moved into a tie in the Double A League Championship. The Red Bulls and Monarchs are now even at 1-1 in the best-of-7 series.
Bessinger had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Red Bulls went on to win.
When asked about his performance after the game, Bessinger said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
The next game is set to be played Monday, October 18th, 2038 at Red Bull Stadium. Slated to start are Javy Alvarado for the Marysville Monarchs and Chris Ambrose for the the Riverside Red Bulls.
