| Raucous The Nutcracker Suite Crowd Propels Nutcrackers to 3-0 Victory; Series Tied at 3 | The Normal Nutcrackers and the Montreal Cardinals will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. Facing a must-win situation today, the Nutcrackers shut out the Cardinals 3-0 at The Nutcracker Suite to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Normal right-hander Javier Palos was named player of the game in the win after a strong outing in which he threw 5 innings of shutout ball.
Normal second baseman Matt Pope contributed to the cause with a triple in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Pope was 2 for 3 with a triple.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Normal manager Richard Lawson.
Game 7 is scheduled for tomorrow in Normal. The scheduled starters for the game are Danny Lee for the Montreal Cardinals and Danny Rodriguez for the the Normal Nutcrackers.
