| Cardinals Hammered by Beltran, Drop Game 4 to Nutcrackers | Normal right fielder Pablo Beltran produced all the offense the Nutcrackers would need today in the club's 4-0 win over the Montreal Cardinals.
Beltran was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once and was named player of the game, while Normal moved into a tie in the League Championship Series. The Nutcrackers and Cardinals are now even at 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.
The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth when Beltran hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Nutcrackers into the lead, 1-0.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Normal manager Richard Lawson.
Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow in Montreal. Slated to start are Tyshawn Thomas for the Normal Nutcrackers and Randy Johnson Jr. for the the Montreal Cardinals.
