Boca Raton Breaks Through for First Win in League Championship Series; Now Trails 3-1

The Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Rockville Rangers, winning 3-1 at Scripps Field today. Fighting Iguanas right-hander Tony Preciado was named player of the game after he threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Fighting Iguanas to 3-1 in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

Preciado allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits over 8 innings for the Fighting Iguanas. He walked 1 and struck out 5.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Preciado said.

Game 5 is set to be played tomorrow at Scripps Field. The scheduled starters for the game are Sergio Pichardo for the Rockville Rangers and Bill Gusman for the the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas.
