| Almost There: George Washington On Cusp of R2 Triumph After 8-7 Win | Riding the 2-hit performance of right fielder Sisto Larco, the George Washington Patriots got a road win against the Carl Albert Titans, 8-7, in Game 4 of the Little League World Series today. Larco went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Patriots, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.
Had Larco not come through in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Larco hit a 2-run single. The Patriots never looked back after taking the 8-7 lead.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said George Washington manager Frank Robles.
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Zebras Ballpark. The scheduled starters for the game are Tim Norman for the George Washington Patriots and Justin Rieker for the the Carl Albert Titans.
