| Joseph Handcuffs Titans, Patriots Seize 2-1 Advantage in R2 | With starter Jim Joseph leading the charge, the George Washington Patriots crushed the Carl Albert Titans, 9-1, in Game 3 of the Little League World Series today. Joseph threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball at Zebras Ballpark as George Washington breezed to a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
The Patriots liked what they saw from Joseph. The 17-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Titans to 1 earned run on 3 hits over 7 innings, and striking out 10.
"I got everyone together and told them they did great today," George Washington manager Frank Robles told BNN reporters after the game. "But I warned them that even if we make it out of the Little League World Series, it's only going to get harder."
Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow at Zebras Ballpark. Slated to start are Tim Norman for the George Washington Patriots and Justin Rieker for the the Carl Albert Titans.
