| Road Win Lifts Carl Albert to 2-1 Lead in R1 | Riding the 3-hit performance of center fielder Mike Waters, the Carl Albert Titans got a road win against the Kearny High Cardinals, 12-6, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series today. Waters went 3-5 with a triple, 2 doubles, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Titans, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.
Waters had a consequential at-bat in the top of the second for the Titans. Coming up with the bases loaded and Carl Albert trailing 3-2, he hit a bases-clearing triple.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Waters.
Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow at Loggers Ballpark. Slated to start are Justin Rieker for the Carl Albert Titans and Jimmy Ward for the the Kearny High Cardinals.
