| Almost There: Oklahoma State On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 9-7 Win | Riding the 2-hit performance of left fielder Xavier Ricks, the Oklahoma State Cowboys got a road win against the Fresno State Bulldogs, 9-7, in Game 4 of the NCAA College World Series today. Ricks went 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Cowboys, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.
Oklahoma State grabbed control in the top of the seventh. With no one out and a runner on 1st, T.J. Rom delivered a 2-run home run, to make it 9-7 in favor of the Cowboys.
Rom said the win provided a "big morale boost" for the team. "There's a good feeling in the clubhouse right now."
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Brooks College Grounds. The scheduled starters for the game are Jaylen Wheeler for Oklahoma State and Jeff Logsdon for Fresno State.
