| KO Subdue Santa Barbara, 4-3 | Long Beach beat Santa Barbara at Knockout Stadium by Brooklyn Decker, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Alastair Martin, who earned player of the game honors. Picking up the save was Joaquin Cruz, his 1st. The win gives the KO a record of 3-4.
The KO beat the Suenos with some clutch hitting. The home run by Alexis Alvarez in the bottom of the fifth is a good example. With two down, Alvarez gave his team the lead, 4-2, when he came through with the big hit.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Santa Barbara skipper Robby Tate, "and it cost us."
