| Jimenez Now 1-0 After Subduing Commies | Brooklyn Cyclones starter Alfredo Jimenez was in fine form against the Caribbean Commies at Vin Scully Park, leading his team to a 1-0 win. Joey Cabler closed the game out for Brooklyn, earning his 2nd save. The Cyclones, now 3-1, have been on a roll in the early going.
Jimenez made it look easy. He scattered 2 hits over 7.2 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The right-hander upped his season record to 1-0.
Jimenez told a Brooklyn Observer reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
