| Strong Style Get Road Win, 5-2 | Kyoto starter Devin Johnson had a strong outing against the Long Beach KO at Knockout Stadium by Brooklyn Decker. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. Kyoto, now 3-2, has gotten their season off to a good start.
The Strong Style got a big at-bat from third baseman Gabriel Vega. For the game, Vega was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Kyoto a 3-0 lead.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Kyoto manager Jorge Mora.
