| Rangers Win at Scottsdale, 4-1 | Rockville and Scottsdale duked it out at Scottsdale Stadium and the Rangers came out victorious.
The Rockville Rangers topped the Scottsdale Scorpions, 4-1, in Prince Fielder League action at Scottsdale Stadium. The player of the game was Rockville pitcher Ivan Camarena. Rockville reliever Willie Marmolejo picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Angelo Lastra was saddled with the loss.
The Rangers got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Russ Pokorny. For the game, Pokorny went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the seventh, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Rockville a 2-1 lead.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Rockville skipper .
Rockville, at 3-0, has sizzled in the early going.
