| Rangers Walk Off with Win | Fans of the Rockville Rangers who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Rockville win over the visiting Santa Barbara Suenos, 4-3. Ernesto Mendez started for the home team against Gabe Navarro. Gabe Navarro earned the coveted player of the game honors.
Ryan Ray was the walk-off hero for Rockville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rangers right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We take it day by day here," said Ray, "and today was a good one for us."
