| Sasquatch Beat Republic in 10 | The Seattle Sasquatch downed the So Cal Republic, 3-2, at Sick's Stadium. Jesus Villanueva led the way, going 3-for-5 for Seattle. The winner was Quiang Tu in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Pat Meskill took the loss. The Sasquatch bumped their record to 53-34 with this latest triumph.
Villanueva had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the tenth. On a 2-2 cutter from Pat Meskill, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Sasquatch a 3-2 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Villanueva.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Seattle manager Bob Miller.
