Pioneers Come Back Late, Nip Blazers

The Pioneers had to overcome a good performance from Bloomington pitcher James Jostle to claim a 3-2 win at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. Jostle went 8.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Vancouver reliever Willard Stady picked up the win, upping his record to 6-3. Ducky Goosie took the loss. Vancouver bumps their record to 34-52 with the win.

Justin Nance, who is tied for 5th in the TML in stolen bases with 39, chipped in for Vancouver with a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.

Nance said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
