| Warhawks Prevail, 5-4, Over Jefferson | The Seminole Warhawks defeated the Jefferson Indians, 5-4. Earning player of the game honors was center fielder Colin Bieri, who went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Chris West, credited with the win, is now 4-7. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings. The Warhawks bumped their record to 36-29 with this latest triumph.
Had James Trinka not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Trinka hit a 3-run home run. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Warhawks.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Seminole manager Rich Nolin. "It's usually not just one thing."
