Joyner Jr., Mustangs Rough Up Hornets

The San Marin Mustangs had no problem beating the Enterprise Hornets, 12-2, at Silvertips Ballpark. Wally Joyner Jr. led the way. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 6 for San Marin. San Marin reliever Jeff Peacock picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Ken Rudolph was saddled with the loss. San Marin is now riding a 3-game win streak.

The Mustangs got a big at-bat from center fielder Jesse Acrey. For the game, Acrey went 1 for 4 with a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 69th hit of the season gave San Marin a 3-2 lead.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Acrey.
