In a dominant outing, Pierre Gallet of the Lerna Lions totally silenced the bats of the Francis Lewis Patriots, finishing with a no-hitter.

In the Lions' 2-0 victory, Gallet faced only 35 batters, surrendered no hits, had 12 strikeouts and 7 walks.

"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Lerna manager Nick Riddick said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."

Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Justin Easton told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game.

"The Lions had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Gallet pitched a heck of a ballgame."

In the current season in 13 starts, Pierre Gallet has a record of 3-5 with 88 strikeouts in 79 innings and a 4.78 ERA.
