| Panthers Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win | Pitman High right-hander James McClain made an effective start against the College Park at Swamp Foxes Stadium, leading his team to a 9-7 win. Pitman High reliever Ryan Robinson picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Kenny Wangsness was saddled with the loss. College has now lost 6 straight.
Jesse Trussell chipped in for Pitman High with a 2-run single in the top of the 16th. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 7 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
Panthers manager Juan Lopez wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
