| Patriots Win at Downsview, 7-5 | Francis Lewis and Downsview duked it out at Visigoths Stadium and the Patriots came out victorious.
The Francis Lewis Patriots knocked off the Downsview Mustangs, 7-5, at Visigoths Stadium. Josiah Thomas, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Francis Lewis won. The center fielder was 3-4 with 3 singles and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Francis Lewis reliever Matt Evans picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-1. Ellis Spatola was collared with the loss.
Thomas had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning, when he hit a 2-run single. The Patriots went on to win.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Thomas said.
The Patriots bumped their record to 34-27 with this latest triumph.
