The Derby Panthers knocked off the Montreal Cardinals, 15-5, at Nezahualcoyotl HS Grounds. Edgardo Cordero, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Derby won. The designated hitter went 3-5 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Derby starter Adam Carter was credited with the win after throwing 111 pitches over 6.1 innings.
