| Bombers Fall Short at Maple | The Maple Marauders scored a 8-7 win versus the South Carolina Bombers at Legends Park. Maple designated hitter Joe Mann nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The Marauders bumped their record to 42-42 with this latest triumph.
The Marauders got a big at-bat from center fielder Rickey Moses. For the game, Moses went 2-6 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. In the bottom of the 11th, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 89th hit of the season gave Maple a 8-7 lead.
"It was a solid team effort," said Mann after the game.
