| Lions Prevail, 3-2, Over George Washington | Lerna starter Ken Harper had a strong outing against the George Washington Patriots at Ballpark of Ecatepec HS. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Allen Belote converted his 11th save in 15 tries. The Lions bumped their record to 34-26 with this latest triumph.
Eric Lane went 2 for 2 with 2 singles for Lerna. The 16-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Curt Gray. It was his 20th RBI of the season.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Harper said.
