| Big Day by Peterson Ignites Warhawks Win | It was a good time at Attack Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Pleasantville Panthers and Seminole Warhawks get after it.
Seminole second baseman Jay Peterson was instrumental in his team's 6-3 win over the Pleasantville Panthers. Peterson went 2-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Warhawks. The winner was Jason Erickson, who threw 143 pitches over 8 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 7 hits.
When the Warhawks needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Peterson who delivered. Facing Pleasantville pitcher Alan Wienczkowski the bottom of the fourth with the bases loaded, Peterson hit his 8th home run of the year. It made the score 6-2.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Peterson.
The Warhawks bumped their record to 34-25 with this latest triumph.
