| Cardinals Stymie Santa Clara, Take 4-1 Win | The Montreal Cardinals defeated the Santa Clara Vampires, 4-1, in Pete Rose League action at Nezahualcoyotl HS Grounds, with Montreal pitcher David Keafer named player of the game. Keafer went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 4, and struck out 7. His record improves to 3-5. Even with the win, the Cardinals have a dismal 20-38 record.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 2nd and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when shortstop Josh Chandler, who is tied for 8th in the PRL in triples with 2, reached on an error by the SS. The Cardinals went on to win.
