| Late Rally by Panthers Secures Win | The Norwich Navigators got a superb performance from pitcher Bob Gregg. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Pleasantville. The Panthers won the game, 6-2. In spite of the loss, Gregg was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of shutout ball. The Navigators, now 24-33, have lost 4 straight.
Ryan Adelson's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a knuckle curve from Seth Shepard for a 2-run single. It put Pleasantville in front, 3-2.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Panthers manager Xavier Chávez. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
